Home Party Games

2009
06.10

When debating what type of home party games to play at your theme party, there are a few ideas I have for you to keep in mind. When determining what games to play keep in mind those games which have a participant being removed. Once a participant is out of the game, they are no longer involved in the merriment and tend to get bored. As an instance playing a board or card game such as Texas holdem or monopoly in which participants do get removed, they could sit for hours before the game comes to a completion. When your games involve scoring, try to make sure it’s a team based game and not separately, so that you can have group participation and win or lose as a team and not an individual. Whether this is a huge or little party all games should be entertaining for both the participants and those who choose to be viewers. Games with some sense of humor involvement from the participant or the game play itself gives satisfaction to both the participants and the audience. Finally no matter what the game, have a great time and get pleasure from your gather and others will too.

Themed Party Tips

2009
06.10

First and foremost one of the best themed party tips I can give you is this. First you’ll want to invite company you get pleasure from being with, and have heaps in common. This way any party theme you select will be pleasant. Some really good party ideas are: a card night, 50’s and 60’s party, dinner party, any family activity, or even a movie party. Any of these themes are sure to entertain.

Wedding Table Centerpiece

2009
06.01

My friend is getting married and was asking me for advise on a wedding table centerpiece. After being told she would have two bottles of champagne sitting at each table, I told her she could just dress up the bottles with some champagne bottle wear for a great centerpiece.

You see Champagne Bottle Wear fits over the bottles of champagne or wine and has one outfit with a bride’s dress (white dress and lace and pearls). The other has a black tuxedo jacket  (black tie and white rose boutonniere). She loved the idea, stating it would even end up saving her money!

High School Musical

The new High School Musical 4 will air in 2010. A lot of fans are wondering if High School Musical 3 is about senior year what will number 4 bring. I’m hearing it could be about the high school seniors summer before heading off to college. I’ve read that Disney is hopeful that they can get a few of the more memorable cast members to come back. I’m sure tweens will once again make it a block buster.

When planning your High School Musical Party Activities why not have the kids dress up in costumes of their favorite High School Character, and wearing a High School Musical Head Set put on their own show.

  • Luau Party Decorations

Luau’s are one of the most fun and easy parties to decorate for. With a few well placed plastic palm trees, and lighting up the area with colorful or floral paper lanterns you have a great start. You can then place pineapples on your tables as center peices, if you don’t like that try a pillar candle with sea shells around it. For an outside party you could also light up a few tiki torches for the ambeiance, greet your guests with  leis and a kiss on the cheek. For your guest tables I’ve seen grass skirting that can be used. As far as your guests are concerned have them follow along with your luau party decorations. Have them be sure to wear grass skirts, coconut bras, or bikini tops, bright baggy shorts, even bright floral dresses.Be sure to leave a comment and tell others some of your Luau Party Decoration Ideas.
  • Xmas Party Games
Posted on Tuesday, May 12th, 2009 in Party Games – Comments: (0)
One of my favorite Xmas party games is a questionnaire made up by myself after watching years of Christmas stories and cartoons. The following is a list of some of the questions I’ve used in the past.Use these, then add some of your own. As I ask the questions, I hand out a small candy cane to the person who answers correctly. The guest with the most candy canes wins. QUESTIONS: What was the name of Rudolf’s girlfriend? Not including Rudolf name all 8 of Santa’s Reindeer? What brought Frosty to life? What was the name of the little girl who helped frosty get to the North Pole? How many sizes did the Grinches’ heart grow? What was the name of the Grinches’ dog? In the movie “The Christmas Story” what type of pajamas did Ralphie’s aunt give him for Christmas? In “The Christmas Story” what did Ralphie’s dad win in a contest?

Shiver me Timbers, if it’s a Pirate Birthday Party your maties are wanting, it’s a blast you’ll be having.Pirate party’s are one of the most popular theme party ideas to have. One of the most popular party activities would be a treasure hunt. Using a crumpled brown paper bag, create clues. Give the first clue to the captain of the pirates (the birthday boy or girl), and using pirate vocabulary describe where they (the birthday guests) can find the next clue, finally ending with them finding the hidden treasure chest, these can be found in most craft stores. The treasure chest itself should have enough in it to have something for each guest for their treat bags. You can fill the treasure chest with lots of fun items such as chocolate gold coins, gold fish crackers, eye patches, a dew rag for their head. Most of these items can be found at a discount.
